Leaving Ouran University with a combined degree of Journalism and Photography had opened door after door for her, allowing her to easily slip into a senior position at a Tokyo fashion magazine. However despite all that Kaede couldn't exactly say she was happy ... a lack of companionship had been something that was bothering her for a while. Sure she kept in touch with some of the people she had come to meet in her time at that school but hadn't seen most of them in years. However she had become independent, growing far beyond the photography club that she used to have a hold on so tight. She'd moved onto bigger things ... and everything had. Apart from the fact she was still one hundred percent, dejectedly single. Which was the sole reason that she was staring at the ticket on the drawer of her office, glaring it down infact with the sheer humiliation of the fact she was even considering the idea. A charity singles event to be clear, something so degrading that any other time she would have ripped it up and thrown it away. However she could see the beaming smile of her colleagues face that had asked her to take her place, and cursed the fact that this once she would have a moment of moral lapse and sign up to do something degrading. The blonde executive drummed her nails against the surface of her wooden desk before making a move to leave the office to go home, muttering the fact that she would go to the woman prompting some kind of childish squeal from her, promising that she wouldn't regret it. ____ At that moment she was starting to wonder why anyone thought this was any kind of idea of 'fun'. After speaking to five men on this stupid blind date thing (and consuming three glasses of vintage wine to keep up with their droll tales of life) she was just about ready to throw herself off the building. The woman quickly said goodbye to the man (slightly overweight, sweater clearly made by his nan and owner of three very 'lovely' cats named kitty, snookums and stripe) and grabbed hold of her bag, and was about to make a quick getaway until she found someones arm infront of her. "Running away? Shame, I was hoping I could talk to you for the whole ten minutes we could have together, ma cherie" The woman paused in her actions, glancing up at the man's face, trying to place together where she had met this man before. For one thing he had really pretty eyes ... she wasn't sure if that was the alcohol consumption she had had or if those purple eyes of his were as beautiful as she thought they were. She would have to remember eyes like those right? "Have we met before?" Kaede asked, watching those lips of his curl up into a smirk that automatically made her want to punch him, right there right then. It just grated on her nerves! Who did he think he was to stand there and smirk at her like that? "I don't know, maybe if you weren't intoxicated you might just remember? he teased, the action annoying the blonde to the very depths of her heart. "Hey! If you were from school or something then it's no wonder. It was ten years ago, I'm a busy woman" Kaede replied with a scowl, turning red in anger when the blonde haired man decided to laugh at her response to him being such an irritating jerk! "So I've heard Miss Kaede, so maybe if you decide to sit down and talk to me then maybe we would get somewhere wouldn't we?" The blonde weighed up her options, to run and get away from this jerk ... or to stay. And strangely enough her natural sense of curiosity was getting the better of her, something that she struggled with since she was young. "Fine, get me another drink and I'll stay with you" the woman offered, as the other blond scowled. "But ma cherie I think you've had enough-" "Then I think I should be go-" Immediately the man spun on his heel, returning a few moments later with another glass plus his own, and triumphantly the woman took her seat, as the man looked even more triumphant in feat of getting her to spend the rest of the time with him ... or so they thought. In fact, the rest of night was one that the two of them spent ignoring or being rude to the rest of the other humans in the room, just basking in each others company. Talking about everything, from the jobs they now held, to their families and their time at school.Yet still she couldn't grasp the name of this strange man, it was dancing on tip of her tongue. Yet he stuck with her, with his relentless teasing and sly hints that in her drunken state she couldn't quite get. However Kaede Takeda was rather happy to have met him again, even if she had no idea who he was ... However it didn't stop the woman from clinging to his arm as he escorted her down the pavement, laughing at every stumble and swear under her breath she made. "And when you speak french, that is really sexy. I find it reaally sexy" the woman muttered, feeling his ribs move with his laughter at the confession of the exclamation. "Then I shall be sure to use it more often" the other added, grinding the two of them to a stop on the sidewalk and holding out his arm, trying to hail down the nearest taxi he could put Kaede into. "Here you have to have a pen in that stupidly over sized bag of yours right?" the man muttered as the taxi pulled closed, grabbing the object he desired before removing the lid and scrawling the number up the woman's arm. "Now head home princess" the man chuckled as the woman scowled at him, trying to punch him in the stomach despite her current state of disorientation. "I'm a grown woman you have no ri-" Her current rant however ran quiet as the street ran back into the silence it held before the two of them got there. The kiss had not been something she had been expecting, after all, who kissed on something like a first date? It wasn't classy at all, however this time she found herself not minding. In fact she could have stayed there all night with it just being the two of them if it wasn't for the fact his lips left her own to find their way next to her ear with a muttered "Jusqu'à ce que nous nous reverrons ... wife" Blue eyes immediately fluttered open at the last word to watch the retreating back of the former stranger walking away, waving to her and she could practically sense the cocky smirk on his face. "Wait? Wife?!" the woman exclaimed as her mind begun to make the connections. "Vivien, was tha- VIVIEN GET BACK HERE!" the woman screeched, trying to spot the man in the distance only to find out he had gotten too far ahead of her. "Love do you still want this Taxi?" Dejectedly the woman nodded, slipping into the back seat and looking at the numbers on her arm ... knowing someone would be doing some explaining in the morning. ____ Whoever made alcohol give you hangovers was definitely the spawn of satan, she decided. So it was clearly Vivien's child ... since after last night she had decided he was satan completely. However that didn't stop her from having a stare down with the mobile on the kitchen table, trying to toy up if she wanted to call him or not. The pro's being that she could find out what was going on ... between them (something which the teenage part of her mind still refused to accept had happened) and the cons, which were that he was probably going to make fun of her for the spectacle she had put on last night. In fact it look her a whole hour and two mugs of coffee to perk herself up sufficiently to pick up the phone. He answered on the second ring almost like he knew when she was going to call. "Hello?" The simple greeting caused the woman to bite on her lip to prevent herself from saying something stupid or rash ... maybe just screaming at him. That's what she really wanted to do at that moment. "De-Luca san?". The reaction was almost instant with a quick reply of "Wife? I wasn't expecting you to call for another hour, I'm working right now can it-" "Seven?" The stunned silence of the caller, along with herself for even making the suggestion that they should meet up after the events of last night. Of course he wouldn't want too, who would want to after the scene she put on la- "Are you asking me out on a date, ma cherie? If it's to make up for yesterday then I accept" She could feel herself smiling at the reply ending the call by telling him she'd text him the details later and that she wasn't paying for his meal, something which he seemed to greatly object too. Snapping the phone shut, the executive placed it back on the table, gazing at it fondly for a second before scowling at herself. No, he wasn't interested in her surely, and neither was she in him. But it was always interesting to see how the game played out? Right?
