Such a day can only be a miracle or a sign of the Apocalypse that was to come. Although despite the fact that he was home, he was not here to spend time with his family. Such a thing didn't matter to him. All he could do was be a politician and keep his position as the top. After all he had sacrificed so much to reach here. He had sacrificed every bond he had. He had sacrificed her to get here. The thought of it almost made him slip up on a signature. Just almost though, he was rather used to it by now after all. She would never leave his mind, no matter how many times he buries himself in work, no matter how many times he tries to memorize his speeches and what to say on an interview, but never did she stop haunting him. Never did he stopped calling for her. The person who would never give him a reply.Soon though he started to hear stomping and blinked. Was it Momoko again? No...her stomping was usually in quick successions and it was never this hard. He blinked rather curious but decided to not pursue his curiosity. He then started to hear some murmurs from outside of his room but could not distinguish it very well. A sigh parted from his lips, did he not tell the staff to keep the section that the study room was in to be quiet so he can focus on his work? "Where the heck is this guy!?" came a rather unfamiliar voice. Who was this? "Yoite...he is busy. Don't disturb him." came a much quieter voice that he knew belonged to his son. Soon the door slammed open...as in the boy had actually broke the door. "THERE YOU ARE!" he cried out having familiar dark purple hair and green eyes. It reminded him of a certain pair but he doubt this was their kid. It would be too much of a coincidence and also...he was too loud. Besides him was Akira's son who looked down at the ground as if ashamed of himself. "I'm sorry father." "Were you looking for me?" Akira asked blatantly ignoring Shinkuto, his voice staying calm despite the fact that he was slightly annoyed that his silence was now gone. So much for working in peace now. "You bet I was! What do you mean you're going away next week? What is the meaning of this?" The boy asked walking over to the desk looking at the male with glaring emerald eyes. Shinkuto on the other hand stared at him. "And what is that you Yoite? Why so nosy today? Are you interested in me or something?" The purple haired boy looked back at him. "What? Yeah right! Lets not forget that I hate you. Now just leave already geez." "Yes. I have a trip to go to in order to present my policies and see if it is accepted." the man continued on. "What about the Devil huh?" the unfamiliar boy...Yoite....asked. "The Devil?" At this the man arch a brow. Just who was he talking about? "Your son! Who else?" the kid stated pointing at the boy next to him. "It's his birthday tomorrow and you are just going to leave today? Can't it wait a day?" Oh so he was a friend of Shinkuto's? Such a revelation slightly stunned the man since his son rarely ever talked. The idea of him having a friend or one as loud as this was unexpected to say the least. "I see you are Shinkuto's friend." The boy blinked...."What? Heck no!" he denied it shaking his head. "I hate the Devil but even so tomorrow is his birthday. You can't just leave! Don't go changing the topic." "What is your name?" "Tsukami Yoite." Tsukami Yoite? Akira had almost gasped at hearing that surname. So...was he really? Was he truly their child. Still through years of masking himself he was able to hide his shock at the revelation of who the boy is. "Tsukami-san." he started with a small sigh wondering how to reason with his child. His father...well his father always listened to him back in middle school even though he was defiant with everyone else but that was the past and the boy was not Katsuo. "As you see, as much as I would like to attend to his birthday party" Which was not at all because it was far too painful, it reminded him of too much, "I am a busy man. I have to take care of this country. If I am late there are going to be great consequences." Yoite continued to glare at him standing his ground. "If you can't even take care of your own family how do you expect to take care of the country?" he asked. Something a kid should not be able to say but yet the look in his eyes showed how much he truly believed in that. "If you can't even take care of the ones in front of you. The ones that you love. How are you suppose to take care of millions of people!?" It was the first time someone that was not a politician talked back to him...no, even some politicians did not dare talk about to him, but here was a boy who had done so...so easily. Then again, he was a kid, he could not understand what he had just done. And just like Akira, his son was also very shocked to hear those words. How can he just say that? To defy Akira...it was far too surreal. His father was always right after all, that was why he was the top politician. "Tsukami-san it is not that simple." The politician stated. Because he didn't care for them. Because he never truly saw them as family....because the one he had loved...he failed to protect. "It's only not simple because you are too much of a coward to!" he cried out and slowly he started to look like Katsuo. That's right...when Katsuo, despite how he might appear, set his mind on something he doesn't back down. When he sees someone he wants to help, he would see it all the way through. And most of all....how much his kohai hated weaklings and cowards. If he was to see Katsuo now...would Katsuo be disappointed in what he became? Did he even want to know? Especially since...Katsuo believed the same thing didn't he? Akira had told him even...when he told him to protect Mizuki when he learned that she got bullied. Because she was close to him, because she was in front of him, because if he couldn't protect her, then there was no way he can protect an entire gang. As if testing the boy or maybe because he was starting to remind Akira of a certain someone, he decided to ask, "And what would you do if the person you want to protect is not longer here?" Yoite tilted his head and looked down for a bit as if trying to come up with an answer. For the first time, there was silence as the boy had merely stood there. Of course he wouldn't be able to answer. He was just a kid after all. "If you cannot answer that question I suggest you take yo-" "Hey! You can't kick me out if I have an answer. I have one in mind...but if I answer it and you can't say anything back...you have to to stay for one more day okay? You have to go to his birthday. If not then I'll find you and beat you up!" "Just leave him alone Yoite." Shinkuto whispered in a hush tone. Normally he would just let his father deal with whatever idiot who thinks he can take the man on but...really...he didn't want to have to deal with this and his father was busy anyway. Most importantly...it made him felt pathetic having to have someone to speak on his behalf. If only Momoko didn't have it slipped from her mouth. Akira felt himself smirking. Was he challenging him? Nakamura Akira, Japan's top politician? Such a thing was a laugh really. Still he decided to humor the boy. And as for the beating him up, even if he was Katsuo's son he was still a kid and Akira doubt he can take on the bodyguard, it would be easy to hold him down. "I shall think about it but if you fail, I would like for you to leave." "Well good thing I never fail then." The boy smirked, the same smirk Katsuo would usually wear when challenged into a fight. "If the person who I want to protect die then I would protect the ones that she or he protected or care for. I would..no I will protect the proof of his or her existence." he stated, his eyes reflecting confidence. Again there was silence but it did not last long before Akira broke it. A silence too long would had been a sign of weakness which was what he could not have. "Tsukami-san, I must ask you to leave." he stated. "Wait...what? You ha-" Yoite asked as Shinkuto started to pull him away. "We'll be leaving now father. We are sorry for the intrusion." The man stared at the door for a bit before reflecting the boy's answer and picked up his phone. Tsukami Yoite...what a strange kid. Yet seeing that he was the son of Katsuo and Mizuki...he can start to see the resemblance. Once outside, Shinkuto had let him go. "Oy Devil what the heck was that for?" "What did you think you were doing!?" Hearing the young Nakamura yelled had shocked the boy. What was he doing? Wasn't it obvious? He was getting a father to attend to his own birthday party. "I was giving your old man a piece of my mind!" "You idiot!" Shinkuto cried out. "Who asked you to do that huh? Did I ever asked you?" "I don't care who asked me! That man....I don't even understand how he can take care of this whole country! He can't even take care of those in front of him. He never attends anything at school and I never see him at your birthday or heck even Momoko's! I bet you would even make a better politician than him!" Yoite cried out. "If he can't even protect his family....if he can't even be there for those in front of him..." he remembered the very first lesson his own father had ever taught him. To place those close to you first and then worry about everyone second because if you can't protect them, how can you protect anyone else? Even worse..."You're worse than a dog." he remembered. "That's it screw this. I'm going home." And with that Yoite left. At the party, as usual a whole bunch of people Shinkuto did not care about came, but he had ignored them unless they came up to him but even then he shared his formal greetings, have one or two sentence conversation and then leave. It was as usual rather lonely...especially with Momoko now asleep. He couldn't find Yoite either who his sister had invited. "Did you hear? Nakamura Akira is here. He stayed an extra day." Huh? The boy blinked. He did? To be honest...he had thought his father had left. There was no way he would stay here after all. Still excited he started to run over to where everyone was going to and there he saw his father. He was talking with his usual smile in front of everyone and Shinkuto as usual watched in amazement. His father did not stay long though and soon had to leave but...at least he actually came to the party. After he left, was when Yoite came into view though. "Ahhh Yoite...you came." the green haired boy noted. "You are rather late." "I was not late!" The Tsukami cried out. "Your stupid butler kidnapped me. So stupid....saying I wasn't dressed formally or whatever." Anyway...he took out a small pen that had a rather pointed edge. "Here." Shinkuto held the pen..."What is this for?" "You said you wanted to be a politician right? Well it's one of those fancy pens they have on t.v." "You are horrible at gift giving." "Oh shut up!" "Hmph." The birthday boy smirked. "Thanks Yoite." "..." the other stared at him. "Hmph, what happened to it being lame?" he asked turning away scratching the back of his head. "Yeah the pen is lame." "Make up your mind!" Shinkuto had merely smirked and kept quiet about the other present that Yoite had unknowingly gave to him.[/style] | [atrb=vAlign, top][atrb=style, width: 140px; padding: 5px; background-color: #fff;][style=font-family: arial; color: #494949; font-size: 15px; letter-spacing: -2px; text-align: left; border-bottom: 2px solid #494949; font-weight: bold;]TAGS[/style] [style=font-family: tahoma; font-size: 10px; color: #494949; text-align: justify; margin-left: 10px;]yoite and shinkuto[/style] [style=font-family: arial; color: #494949; font-size: 15px; letter-spacing: -2px; text-align: left; border-bottom: 2px solid #494949; font-weight: bold;]WORDS[/style] [style=font-family: tahoma; font-size: 10px; color: #494949; text-align: justify; margin-left: 10px;]2055[/style] [style=font-family: arial; color: #494949; font-size: 15px; letter-spacing: -2px; text-align: left; border-bottom: 2px solid #494949; font-weight: bold;]NOTES[/style] [style=font-family: tahoma; font-size: 10px; color: #494949; text-align: justify; margin-left: 10px;]i really like bromance?[/style] |
