A brat of barely five years old stood at his elbow, looking up at him with aqua eyes. A kid with his hair and his build and his childish face. “Well Ken there’s a very intricate and complicated process that adults have to go through.” Bringing the five year old up to his lap, Taiyo glanced back on the day that Ken was conceived. “You see, your mother came back one day when Daddy was hard at work. She was drunk from a party at the place she worked and your Daddy, being the kind soul he was, asked her if she was okay.” “And? What did Mommy say?” Ken played straightened the papers on Taiyo’s desk, a perfectionist trait he had picked up from Taiyo. “She said she wanted to have a child.” “And then you both wished really hard and I was born right?” If only, Taiyo thought, if only. “Well, no. You see Daddy was rather opposed to having children at this point in their relationship.” “Y-You didn’t want me?” Taiyo could see tears well up in Ken’s eyes. The child was as temperamental as his mother…and almost as annoying. “Not then, but I think I’ll keep you now.” Teasing lightly, Taiyo continued with his story. “Your mother would not have any of this and began to take off her clothes.” “She was taking a bath right?” “…..Yes. Yes she was. And she was preparing to assault your poor father. I ran out the door as quickly as I could and locked it behind me. Thinking quickly I called your grandmother to ask for a place to stay.” “And?” “When she asked why, I told it was because your mother was trying to make babies with me. Then she laughed, cried, something that made me think she was happy…and hung up. Then I called your Uncle Renji.” “I like Uncle Renji.” “That’s great Ken, that’s just great. He was not as helpful and hung up after I told him I wouldn’t pay him. Then came your Uncle Raiden.” “Ah you’re supposed to visit him next week aren’t you?” “Oh yes, I am. But as soon as I explained what was happening…he yelled at me. Something like, ‘STOP BRAGGING YOU BASTARD,’ And hung up” “Did you call Junta-jiji?” “Yes.” “And did he help you daddy?” “No, he groaned at me and told me that I hadn’t seen hell until pregnancy or birth and slammed the phone.” “Hung up?” No he broke the phone. And then…Uncle Logan. He…the traitor told me to enjoy it and that he was cheering for me….that traitor. Oh and he wanted to be your godfather.” “Isn’t he?” Taiyo gave him a look that suggested that he would never make Logan the father as much as he got along with the man. “No, that’s Uncle Yuuhei remember? Anyways, the door couldn’t hold your mother for long and she eventually broke it down. Then she knocked me down, ripped off my shirt and-Ken could you go get those toys I bought you last week? The Kaito and that maid one from the set Uncle Raiden got you? Good, good. Well, it was something like this.” Putting the Kaito figurine flat on the desk, Taiyo grabbed the maid figurine and pounded the Kaito figurine repeatedly. “Daddy are you sure this is how it works?” “How *crash* old are you?” “Five.” “Then yes *bam* yes it is *crash*. After getting pregnant and eating my prized collections of dried seaweed, you were born. Alright, no more storytime Ken. Its time to eat.” Scooping his fussing child up, Taiyo planted the blunette child in his seat at the kitchen. Stepping into the kitchen, Taiyo sifted through the fridge to find the leftovers from yesterday. “Daddy, can I have a little sister?” Taiyo smirked. “If you behave and stop fighting with Chronos, then maybe.” Sighing, Taiyo turned his head sideways. “He’s growing up fine, Kotone. I really wish you could see how our idiot son is turning out. He keeps interrupting me during work, he won’t leave me alone, and he keeps asking me about you. What your voice sounds like, what you look like, how I met you. I almost don’t want to answer all of it but…I don’t want him to lose what he was left of his mother. And I…don’t want to lose what’s left of you. They say if we’re lucky, I can meet you again in the next life. But I have to live out this one first, so…wait for me. I have to bring along someone else now too after all.” [/style][STYLE=margin-top: -15px; letter-spacing: 2px; color: #98B2BC; text-transform: uppercase; font-family: arial; font-size: 10px; text-align: center;]made by kiwii at btn![/style] |
