I DON'T CARE WHY YOU'RE LEAVING. YOU'LL MISS ME WHEN YOU'RE GONE. I DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU'RE GOING OR WHEN YOU'RE COMING HOME. I LEFT THE KEY UNDER THE MAT TO OUR FRONT DOOR, FOR ONE MORE CHANCE TO HOLD YOU CLOSE. I DON'T KNOW [/style]ME DOWN LIKE YOU DO, SWEETHEART 1191 TATSUYA TAIYO [cs=2][classy=scrollthing]It was on whim that she accepted his offer. A twinge of the heartstrings that sent her on the foolish date she knew wouldn't end well. It was nothing if not a passing whim that Kotone had foolishly chosen to entertain. Because reason said that a man that had just played her for a fool would hardly invite the woman out for dinner. If anything it spoke volumes of the suspicious nature of Tatsuya Taiyo. [/classy]Eyeing the well dressed blunette with suspicion Kotone sat down, expecting nothing sort of a repeat of last week. Settling herself for an evening filled with vague threats and veiled promises Kotone steeled her patience. "I'm glad you could join me, Harada-san." Him...glad? After the heart attack he had given her last week, Kotone had no doubt as to how much Taiyo had satisfied himself. "Why did you call me out here Tatsuya-san?" Was it to trap her in some sort of elaborate game he had concocted in his spare time? The better question was why he had found time to make a reservation at an expensive restaurant instead of taking care of her babies! "I'm sorry." Kotone blinked. Then rubbed her eyes. It was nothing to hear him apologize, actually the man had a nack for apologizing often. Just not sincerely. Most of the time the maid felt that he was being as insincere as he could so that he could the taste off his tongue faster. "You're....sorry?" Kotone said it slowly, not entirely believing the man who had once dunked her hands in hot and cold water. And seemed all the more amused for it. "For tricking you last week. I do hope that you believe it was done with your interests at heart." Maybe he had paid someone else to pretend to be him and come Monday Taiyo would be the real Taiyo and she would look like a fool again. "I apologize from the bottom of my heart." Although it would have to be a good actor since Kotone could feel the sincerity coming off of him. "Why?" The apology was nice and all, but a reason was even better. Apologizing out of nowhere tends to confuse people after all. "I wouldn't want anything to get in my way." It was like he was shining, brighter then the moon hanging over them. As bright as the sun. And just like that. The sun was eclipsed as time held its breath. "Is that what you do in your dreams? Involve me in your sappy romances where the man realizes he made the greatest mistake of his life and begs the woman for forgiveness?" The black spot grew and grew, taking on the form of the Tatsuya president. "I never knew I held such a position on you. I'm flattered, honestly. But I must reject." "T-Tatsuya-san?" Taiyo bowed, a low mocking bow that sent shivers of annoyance through Kotone's spine. "The one, the only. And the most sincere if I may add." Turning to the seated Taiyo, the black spot eyed him with disdain. "Unlike this abomination." "Tatsuya-san, whoever you are, explain yourself." If she kept running at his pace, they would be stuck at that phase for however long the apparition pleased. ...Why was she even arguing with something that probably didn't exist? "This hideous thing," Taiyo indicated the seated Taiyo. "Is a product of your imagination. A rather sickening one. I shudder to imagine what else calls this place home." "So...I'm dreaming?" Taiyo stepped around the table and grabbed Kotone by the chin. "Precisely my dear maid. Well, sort of. You are in a coma." "Why?" "I have no idea in the slightest." Kotone facepalmed, wishing she would wake up from this ridiculous dream of two Taiyos. Or at least get rid of the smart mouthed one and keep the strange gentleman one. "I suppose one way you could look at this is that you are simply tired and I am nothing more then the combination of heat and that champagne you've been sipping." "WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!" It was like he was trying to make her chase her own tail until the maid became hopelessly lost. "Which of us do you think is real? Actually, that doesn't even matter. Do you prefer that simpering moron sitting across from you, or me?" To be honest, Kotone would choose the supposed moron. He was polite, seemed like he knew plenty of things and didn't insult her. Unlike the Taiyo that was impatiently tapping his foot and checking his watch. "Him." Kotone pointed to the Taiyo that was passively watching the maid. After all, he fit the memory of Tatsuya Taiyo better then the belligerent individual turning to leave. "Very well, I may not think that your decision is the right one but I'm no fool. I can't fight you in your world." Stopping, Taiyo tipped his hat. "I wish you the very best of dreams, Harada Kotone." "If I really was in a coma why would you try to help me?" The words stopped the retreating figure, and for the briefest of moments...a smile was on Taiyo's face. "And why are you in my dreams." "To all the question you are no doubt building in your head, I can only answer three." Taiyo answered, covering his face with his hand. "Then answer them." Kotone challenged. "No matter how hard I or anyone else tries, the real world will never be anywhere as perfect as this one." Putting a hand to his chest, Taiyo sighed. "I will never be anywhere as charming or nice or caring as that man you created in front of you." "...Thats it?" Taiyo removed the hand from his face, annoyance etched across his face. "When you go back to the real world, I'll have you know most men don'y like pushy women." "Most?" Hand over his heart, Taiyo used his other and felt Kotone's heart pulse. "I can only say this for myself but...I promise that I'll never leave you. I will stay by your side, no matter what things what happen. Even if you change and grow to hate me I will always be there by your side. I will never, ever, let you go." Kotone could feel her heart racing, so fast that it felt like it was exploding out of her chest. "...Taiyo? How long have I been asleep?" "Long enough for me to miss you." She could hear it. The doctors and nurses bustling about. The smell of the antiseptic permeating the air around her. The feel of the clean white bed sheets spread out under her. "I'll see you on the other side." Kotone turned to find Taiyo smiling again. "I'm sorry, Kotone." Dimly Kotone became aware of the frenzied activity of the nurses and doctors as they realized one of their patients was awake. Something was going into her arm she realized. "Why?" A sad little smile played across his face as the whole world slowly turned white. "Because I lied. But I'm happy, really. Because of this extra time, I could say goodbye." NOTES: Irony, thats what I what I would put here Kiwii. Irony. [/style] |
