Shuurin started putting on his best smile. The smile that he would only give to his other half. It was winter break and his last checkup went well. Although he still hated going back to the hospital. He didn't like to be reminded of the days he spent there alone with so very little human contact outside of the nurses. He didn't like them, they tried to be nice to him as if they were his family but he was sure that they only did it because they were paid. They would never give him genuine kindness, that was something he can only receive from blood."What is it Shuurin?" his brother asked him as the two help set up the Christmas tree. It was something the younger twin was rather insistent upon. And naturally the older twin had given in, he usually gave in ninety percent of the time. "Are you busy this Saturday?" he asked tilting his head. He was thinking about having a small family day with his twin. He had it planned out. He wanted to learn how to ice skate with the Tsukami head. It was something he wanted to know, just to experience what it was like. A mere curiosity but something he wanted to pursue nonetheless. "Saturday?" Yoite repeated for a moment before letting out an irritated sigh. Instantly the red eyed male can feel his heart slight broken. "About that...I have a stupid date with the Gorilla again." Oh...her again. Shuurin had never met the orange haired girl before but he didn't like her. He knew of the bet his brother was in as well as his brother always tells him everything. There was no secret between the two...for the most part. He did have a few secrets that he could never tell his twin. Not without fearing what he would think of him. If the one-eyed male realized that his twin wanted to kill everyone around him. For all of them to be gone just so that Yoite would be his and his alone again...he would be disgusted. He would probably hate Shuurin as well and he didn't want that. That...that was a scary thought. He wanted his older brother to view him as someone that needed to be protected. Someone that he was willing to spend time with no matter what. He would do anything for it, even if it meant tricking him. Yes he would apologize in his head a million times over but he would also do it a million times over. Too bad his twin was oblivious and would never notice it. Never notice the thing that Shuurin craved for. Not with how he has been moving away from him lately. University life was rather busy and Yoite had to be a yakuza head as well which cut a lot of time. The younger Tsukami understood that but now when he had free time he usually have things to do whether it was getting presents for Christmas, dating the hostess, or meeting up with someone. Why...why was he busy so much more often now? "We can do it next week?" Yoite suggested his voice having a tinge of guilt. His twin never liked to deny him anything but there was his competitive streak as well. Shuurin did his best to give out a smile, "Yeah!" he agreed, "Good luck winning Yoite-nisama." he added. That's right. Win, win and crush her heart. Win and get that girl out of his life. Before he fall in love with him. Wait...Yoite? Fall in love with her? No, even if he spends time with her that would never happen. His twin didn't need such a thing anyway. He had his family. "Actually...know what? Tomorrow the date should only last about two and half hours. We're only going to go watch some stupid movie. So how about afterwards I'll go wherever you wanna go?" he offered. Inwardly the younger twin smirked. Of course...Yoite could rarely deny him anything. Especially if it was in favor of that hostess. "Really?" he asked acting as innocent as he can. That was the brother his twin wanted. That was the person that he shall always see, no matter what. He'll never see the disgusting side that Shuurin hides. Never. "Yeah. Like I'm going to be with the Gorilla much. So what do you wanna do tomorrow?" "Can you teach me ice skating?" he asked curiously. "Ice skating? Sure why not. When I'm done with the movie, I'll come back home and we can go to the skating rink." "Okay!" So on Saturday when Yoite had went to the movies Shuurin had waited. He was excited for the lessons. Sure Miyuki was busy with practice which made him quite disappointed. He wanted all of his siblings there but he suppose he will have to do with just Yoite. At least he would have someone right? That's always good. As he read his books to spend the time, he saw someone walk in. "Oh Shuu-chan, you look happy today." Yamaguchi Mako. Yoite's ex-fiance and not someone the twin was fond of. Sure she had lost her memories but he was always worried about what would happen if she gains it back. Yes, he knew that his brother was over her. He had told Shuurin himself but if he fell for her once, there was always a chance that it can happen again. "What is it?" he asked trying to not sound annoyed. He didn't want his perfect day ruined. "I just noticed you're smiling a lot today." she commented walking over to his chair and sitting down. Good thing she didn't sit on the bed like he was. "I suppose but what are you doing here Mako?" He really wanted to call her slave again. It always did hurt her when he says it. Especially if he mimicked Yoite's tone of voice but he didn't want to risk the chance of bringing memories back for the girl. "Oh...I just...well...everyone is busy so I thought I could come talk to you." she commented almost like a scared little child. Should he entertain her? Well he suppose just for a bit. He was in a pretty good mood. So he decided to talk to her and ask her about school. Apparently she was still having trouble fitting in - doesn't amaze him with how stupid she was - but she was making friends. He acted like he cared but he really didn't. He found himself glancing at the clock every now and again. His brother was already ten minutes late. Was something happening? Suddenly his phone had a small melody indicating a new text. A text from his brother. He opened it and stared at the screen. 'Fucking Gorilla got sick and making me do all her stupid work for her. I finally got a small break now but I don't think I can go with you today. I suppose we'll have to save it for next week. Sorry.' No! This couldn't be happening. Yoite told him that they would get to spend time today. That his older twin was going to teach him how to ice skate and they can have fun together. This...this wasn't suppose to be happening. "Is something wrong Shuu-chan?" he heard Mako asked and he found himself almost glaring at the girl. Maybe he should hit her. He wanted to hit something right now. No, if he did then it would cause a possible scene. So instead he wore a fake smile, "Nothing. Yoite-nisama just told me to go meet up with him at the ice rink is all." he stated before getting off the bed and heading over to the ice rink. That's right, if he goes to the ice rink and Yoite comes home without Shuurin there, he would go there right? Then he would teach him. Or...if he gets sick, Yoite would feel guilty wouldn't he? Guilty for leaving his twin for some girl. Then he would never leave Shuurin's side right? He was always so overprotective. That strong older brother of his. He chuckled at that thought as he walked over to the ice rink. It was cold despite the layers he had on him but he didn't care. He didn't mind the cold that much after all. Soon though he found himself on the ice rink and paid to get some ice skates. Now all there was, was to wait. No, he suppose he should send a text. Yeah, he should tell Yoite he was already at the ice rink. And that was what he did. Now his brother would come to him no matter what. He would be so worried. He might yell a bit but then he would instantly forgive Shuurin. He always did after all. So why was it that even after an hour his brother was not here? Where was he? Should he send him another text? Was he that busy? He didn't know but it was getting cold and he wasn't moving at all. He didn't want to ice skate alone. "There you are Shuu-chan." It was her again. Shuurin turned around to see Mako walking up to him. "I was worried about you. Were you here all alone? How come you're not moving? You don't know how to ice skate?" she asked a whole bunch of questions and he wished she would just shut up. "You're not suppose to be here." he muttered under his breath. It was Yoite! Yoite was suppose be here! Yoite was suppose to come here and grab onto his hand to give him warmth! "Where's Yoite-nisama?" he asked almost like a lost child. "He was suppose to each me skating. And then we can have hot chocolate and laugh together." The girl stared at him for a moment unsure of what to do. She didn't want him to be sad. He really wanted to learn huh? Okay then! "I can teach you!" she told him with a nod, "I...I don't think I'll be as good as Yoite but I can try. And then he can teach you more some other time." Yeah, that sounded perfect. "So please don't be sad." she ended. She didn't want him sad. He was so happy earlier! "I-" "Give me a chance first!" she cut him off of his denial with a determined look in her eyes. Yoite told her that if she wanted something she had to be assertive. She had to try as hard as she can and never give up. "I want to teach you." And be his friend. She always knew that Shuurin didn't like her. Was it because of something the old Mako did? She really didn't know but she wanted to make it up to him now with this new Mako. This new Mako that was going to start over with everyone. This Mako that wanted to be friends with the younger Tsukami twin. So without waiting for his answer, she grabbed onto his hand and pulled him away from the rails so that she can start to teach him. "Go about it slowly okay? Ready? One...two...one...two." she stated. Shuurin felt himself pulled by her and forced to follow in her pace. Give her a chance? If he does then she might take Yoite away. There was no way he would let his guard down...that was what he wanted to focus on. But at the moment as he was being led by the girl, all he can think of was the warm of her hands. He suppose...today he'll agree with her. Today he won't hate her.[/style] |
