Oh well, I guess, we're gonna pretend, Let's see how far we've come. ❝ LETS SEE HOW FAR WE'VE COME CHARACTERS raidenWORDS 1857.NOTES so late"That is actually quite a good question officer. Just when did you but more importantly, why would someone like you want to be in law. While I understand that is a very good and respectable job...it does not seem something that fits you very much." ------------------------------------------------------------------- "What do you wanna be when you grow up Sanada-san?" the brown haired teacher asked as she stooped down to the red haired kid's height. "A hero!" he shouted. That was right, just like every other kid, there was a time where Raiden wanted to be a hero. He wanted to swoop in, beat up the bad guys and save people. Maybe even wear a costume but no spandex, that was just weird. When his mother heard about his dream, she had encouraged him. "You'll make a great hero Raiden." the woman told him with her usual smile that honestly could light up the whole world...or at least in the eight year old boy's eyes it did anyway. "And I'll save you from any evil doers." Raiden told her with a big grin as women always needed saving. ------------------------------------------------------------------- However Raiden quickly learned that he was not exactly hero material. He constantly got into fights despite what his father told him, but how could he not? He hated how some of the people just insulted him or how some of the other stupid kids act all high and mighty. It got even worse when he got into high school and there was that stupid class system where what mainly determined your rank was your money. And believe it or not, in the first year they placed him in the B-rank. His grades weren't' the best but his money was sure worth a lot. All he could think when he saw the placement was 'fuck this shit'. The teen had told the teacher to drop him out of the class because really, he didn't deserve it. He knew there were other kids who were way smarter than him, ones that would actually probably pay attention to the classes. "No." was what the staff told him before they went on their stupid long tangent about how he should be happy with the class he got. They even told him that with his money, he could had been in the A-rank if only he was smarter. Raiden didn't bother to listen to the rest of the speech as he walked out and slammed the door. His parents had told him that they were proud of him for his class while his two siblings asked him what it was like. He made sure to put on a smile and not show them how frustrated he was at how this whole thing worked. ------------------------------------------------------------------- "Okay Raiden, we have a new member you're gonna watch over for the kendo team. His name is Kaze-" "It's just fucking Eli!" the aqua haired teen shouted. Raiden stared at the male and gave a shrug, "Well, welcome to the team Eli." He quickly learned that Eli was actually from a gang so he had no idea what his captain was thinking placing the teen under him but whatever. He had nothing against gangs really and since he was in the disciplinary committee, he also had to keep an eye on possible trouble makers from time to time. Actually with the addition of Eli into the school, patrolling actually became fun as he sometimes got to fight Eli in order to stop him from throwing some kid out the window because they made some small comment. ------------------------------------------------------------------- His mother was dead and there was nothing Raiden could do about it. He couldn't protect her. He failed to protect her and even worse was that he failed to protect his own sister as well. No...he was the one that actually caused the pain when he let the news slipped out like that. Great fucking job Raiden, some fucking hero you were. ------------------------------------------------------------------- It was his last year at school and Raiden stared down at the piece of paper that asked him the dreaded question. What did he think his future career was going to be. He honestly hated it. "You'll take over the company won't you Raiden?" his father's words echoed in the back of his mind. Him take over a company? As if. "You all will have a day to fill this out. Turn it in tomorrow." Raiden gave a small sigh as he slid the piece of paper into his pocket. What the fuck was he suppose to fill out? Maybe Kazehaya gang? All they did was fight all day, that fitted someone like him. Plus Eli was there. After school, the eighteen year old wandered around town as he didn't want his father to lecture him about how he should take over the company, or see that woman either. Really he had nothing against her but it was just weird to have to call someone else 'mother'. Maybe he should look for someone to fight in the alley? Yeah, get his frustration out, that sounded good. The Sanada entered the alley to look for a fight and he found one. Too bad it started without him though but hey, he can easily join in. Wait, one of the guys was totally beaten and yet the other wasn't stopping at all. "Oy!" Raiden shouted as he ran over to break it up. However he was too late as the man pulled out a gun and shot the person. What the fuck? The sound of the gun surprised him enough to actually stop him in his movement which allowed the other to get away. He quickly snapped out and took a few running steps to chase the person down to beat him up. That was until he heard the other groan. Shit. He ran back over to the fallen man and took out his phone to dial the police. Come on...pick up...pick up...pick- "Hello?" Finally! "Oy get someone over here fast! Someone just got shot!" he shouted into the phone. "Sir where are you right now?" Raiden gave them his location before he hung up so he can turn his attention to the injured man. Don't let him die...don't let him die...don't let him fucking die. "Oy! Oy! Stay with me! You're going to be okay! You're going to be okay you here me!?" he shouted - perhaps even demanded - for the other to stay alive. He didn't want to see another die. "I...I don't want...to go....my wife...and kids..." the other barely managed out through short breaths. "Then stay alive! Stay here! Stay here for them!" The police along with the ambulance came as quickly as possible. When Raiden tried to get in the ambulance as well just to make sure the guy would still be alive, someone stopped him. It was an old looking officer with gray hair that honestly almost reminded the red head of his principal. "We need you to stay. You're not his family and we have some questions for you." the older man told him. "Fuck the questions! I need to see if he's going to be alright! He has wife and kids! He has to be alright!" "The faster you answer the questions the better then." the man told him before he glanced over at another officer, "Leingod. You interview him and take notes. It'll give you some experience." "Yes sir," the raven haired man complied and walked over to Raiden, "this way place please." Raiden begrudgingly followed the other to a more secluded area of the alley. When they found a suitable location, he leaned against the wall and crossed his arm. "This better be quick." he practically growled out. "State your name and age. I also need you to explain the situation. How did you come to the fight?" "Sanada Raiden and I was walking around looking for a fight myself I guess. And I just kind of saw them fighting there. At first I thought about joining but one of them - the one that shot the gun - already beat the other pretty bad. So I knew had to break it up and when I tried, he pulled out a gun and shot him." the teen explained. "Can you tell me what the other man looked like?" "Well yeah. He had ummm...brown hair? Pretty sure it was brown...and I guess brown eyes or something like that. Oh he was wearing..umm...some t-shirt...white I think?" Fuck fuck fuck, he couldn't remember. His focus wasn't on what the guy looked like. "Fuck! I should had chased after him." he punched against the wall. "That's what a gang would had done! They would had chased after the motherfucker and make him pay!" "Any motherfucking pussy that runs from a fight doesn't deserve to live. You chase them down and kill them, especially if they use some stupid weapon like a gun." Eli once told him. The officer gave a nod as he wrote down the rather horrible description, "I see. Sanada-san was it? Because you stayed behind and called, you saved that man's life. When you were explaining, they made it to the hospital in time. I got the message that he'll make it." "He will?" Again the officer nodded, "Good job. Although what you did was not something a gang would do, it is something the police would do. We place the protection of our citizens first. And do not worry, we will find this man as well. Now if you excuse me." The Leingod gave him one last nod of acknowledgement and walked passed the teen to meet up with the rest of his squad. The next day, Raiden stared at the rather crumbled piece of paper that once again asked him the stupid question of what he wanted to do with his future. "You'll take over the company won't you Raiden?" "Any motherfucking pussy that runs from a fight doesn't deserve to live. You chase them down and kill them, especially if they use some stupid weapon like a gun." "Although what you did was not something a gang would do, it is something the police would do. We place the protection of our citizens first." Raiden quickly jotted down his answer on the piece of paper before he handed it to the teacher. The man gave a glance at the paper before he looked at the Sanada as if shocked. The teen just gave a small grunt and walked away. ------------------------------------------------------------------- "Well to answer the first part of the question ... I decided I wanted to join the police when I was eighteen? My last year of high school so the summer before I started University" he replied with a nod "Though I'm not going to argue with you, it doesn't suit me huh?" It really didn't, and yet here he was. |
