Hideki would have called it a convenience himself. Raindrops pouring plentiful throughout a city would always be known as the best camouflage for one's tears. On this day, he'd recognize them as just that, more now than he had any other day. Because those tears were his, this one time, and never before had he felt them burn at his eyes any stronger than they did now. Only so short a while ago did he assume that he hadn't any reason to cry anymore. He'd had Miyuki, the girl that had motivated him to go through the version of hell that he'd all but suffered through these past few weeks, and the girl that encouraged him to be strong. Not to sit here and cry. When Miyuki looked into his eyes, he felt like he could do whatever it was that that warm and loving gaze ever asked of him... but when it came the time where the cheerful-turned-desperate stare of hers asked him to leave her be, he didn't know if he could do it. He had seen it coming, though. Past all that faked ignorance, he knew what was happening. Miyuki wanted a person far beyond what he ever thought he could be, even with how much effort he'd put into trying to become that person. She no longer wanted Hideki, assuming she ever had in the first place. No, she wanted Shinkuto. To think he looked up to the male, his cousin, despite his harsh treatment towards him in return... Now he knew why he made such a good role model. He was officially everything Hideki wanted to be, and now had the one thing he wanted to himself but could never truly claim as his. While Shinkuto stood up high on that pedestal, Hideki somehow found himself most comfortable out here, standing in the rain, as everything else crashed down around him.[/style] |
